Statistical analysis The IBM SPSS software for Windows ver. In sum, the results of this research have given support as a whole to the suggested measuring instrument for further study. (10) Finally, participants were asked about their reliability and confidence in information sources about the COVID-19. The outcome demonstrates that the instruments used for measuring in this research are reliable, and the rational normality of the data is proven. Prior to that, expert assessment was made to form the basis of the examination of reliability, data normality, and content and face validity.
The data comprised a 100-sample, which were analysed by utilizing version 25, statistical software IBM SPSS. Therefore, by utilizing the quantitative strategy, the objective of this research is to determine the reliability and validity of the instrument utilized in estimating the determinant of tourist inclinations and tendencies, which may influence tourists’ potential plans to travel to the Genting Highlands amusement park. However, limited attention has been paid on the study of domestic tourist preferences and travel intention to visit specifically on visiting Genting Highland in Malaysia when the redevelopment work was in the progression. Numerous studies on tourist travel preferences have been done in a different context which leads to tourist behavioural intention in an organisation. Nik Alif Amri Nik Hashim, Zaimatul Awang, Abdullah Muhamed Yusoff, Fauzan Hafiz Muhammad Safri, Boyd Sun Fatt, Sathish Kumar Velayuthan, Hazzyati Hashim and Selvi Novianti Abstract The Persian version of CSAS is a multidimensional, valid and reliable tool for assessing attitudes towards communication skill among medical students.Īttitude Psychometrics Communication skills.Validating the Measuring Instrument for Determinants of Tourist's Preferences toward Revisit Intention: A Study of Genting Highland Results of the confirmatory factor analysis indicated an acceptable goodness-of-fit between the model and the observed data. As we see from this table the mean value for dependent variable is TAE (tax. Table (iv) above illustrates the minimum, maximum, mean and standard deviation for the responses of likert scale questions coded Strongly disagree (1) Disagree (2) Neither or Nor Agree (3) Agree (4) Strongly agree (5) from frequency table. An exploratory factor analysis (EFA) on the 25 items of the CSAS revealed 4-factor structure that all together explained %55 of the variance. Table (iv): Descriptive Statistics (Source: Author’s SPSS output 2020). The item-level content validity index (I-CVI) and the scale-level content validity index (S-CVI/Ave) demonstrated appropriate results: 0.97 and 0.94, respectively. The internal consistency and reproducibility of the total CSAS score were 0.84 (Cronbach's alpha) and 0.81, which demonstrates an acceptable reliability of the questionnaire. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 19 and EQS, 6.1. Convergent and discriminant validity of the scale was measured through Spearman correlation. Construct validity of CSAS was assessed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and explanatory factor analysis (PCA) followed by varimax rotation. Reliability was examined through two methods including Chronbach's alpha coefficient and Intraclass Correlation of Coefficient (ICC).
Content validity of CSAS was assessed qualitatively and quantitatively. The face validity of the scale was estimated through students and experts' opinion.
In the current study, 410 medical students were selected using stratified sampling framework. Psychometric characteristics of the CSAS were assessed by using a cross-sectional design. The data were analyzed with the aid of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 23 where a factor analysis and reliability analyses were conducted. The aim of this study was to assess the psychometric characteristic of the Communication Skills Attitude Scale (CSAS), in an Iranian context and to understand if it is a valid tool to assess attitude toward learning communication skills among health care professionals. Using a convenient sampling strategy, a total number of 102 sampled respondents were used in the study. The original CSAS, as positive and negative subscales, was developed in the UK however, there is no scale to measure these attitudes in Iran. Student's attitude toward learning CS is a key factor in designing educational interventions.
Communication skill (CS) has been regarded as one of the fundamental competencies for medical and other health care professionals.
